Rotary donates US $ 32,000 in equipment to HRCPP

Rotary Foundation, Rotary District 4921, Rotary Club of Presidente Prudente Leste and Rotary Club Rosa dos Ventos donated US $ 32,000 in sterilization equipment to the endoscopy and colonoscopy sector of the Presidente Prudente Regional Cancer Hospital (HRCPP), assisting in the realization tests in cancer patients and others in preventive tests.
The equipment purchased totaled R $ 176,650.00 thousand reais. An important action that will enable high efficiency in the performance of exams in HRCPP patients. The official delivery of the equipment took place on Friday morning (28), with the presence of Rotarians and hospital directors.

In July 2019, the Rotary Club of Presidente Prudente Leste began to develop the idea and possibility of submitting a proposal to The Rotary Foundation, through the Global Grant Project. These are projects that support larger international activities that have sustainable and measurable results in Rotary’s areas of focus: peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and community economic development. By working together to meet the real needs of the community, clubs and districts strengthen their global partnerships.
The chosen entity of this project was the HRCPP, which presented the need to acquire equipment for the endoscopy and colonoscopy sector: two endoscope washing machines - with a value of approximately 138 thousand reais - destined to carry out tests in patients with cancer and others in preventive exams.
Subsequently, the project also received support from the Rotary Club of Presidente Prudente Rosa dos Ventos. The approval by The Rotary Foundation was carried out on June 30, 2020, after the definition and inspection of the district coordinator of The Rotary Foundation, Ricardo Bermejo, and conquest of the partners of Argentina, Rotarya Club Santa Rosa Norte and Rotary Club Rio Gallegos / District 4921.
Acquisition
With the release of funds and the appreciation of the dollar, the amount received increased to R $ 175,360.00 (one hundred and seventy-five thousand three hundred and sixty reais), allowing the acquisition of more equipment from HRCPP, being: two washing endoscopes (R $ 138,000.00); a set of digital CO 200 pistols (R $ 11,850.00); an Arsenal EA 06 Settler case (R $ 24,500.00); a Pulse oximeter (R $ 2.300,00).
