HRCPP Receives Magnetic Resonance Equipment
The Hospital Regional do Câncer de Presidente Prudente (HRCPP) received magnetic resonance equipment – from the German company Siemens – on September 5. The acquisition was made earlier this year, with part of the amount of 6.8 million reais, received through an agreement, claimed to the State Government of São Paulo.
According to clinical engineering manager Patricia Storto, in addition to magnetic resonance imaging, a GE Healthcare CT scanner, Revolution Evo 128-slice model, was also purchased; a fixed x-ray of the GE Healthcare brand, XR6000 / XR118; two mobile x-rays of the GE brand, Optima XR240 AMX model. These devices are expected to arrive by the end of September at HRCPP.
“Another equipment purchased was also the Siemens COS Select Surgical Arc, which will be used in the hospital’s Surgical Center,” he explains.
From October, HRCPP will perform, on average, 300 MRI scans per month free of charge – at the cost of the hospital – for SUS-dependent patients.
With the start of the HRCPP Imaging Diagnostic Center, patients will have a good satisfaction through high quality care that will prevent evasion to other sites for procedures involving the industry.
In the context of prevention, the institution may act to reduce the waiting list in the region for preventive examinations.
