RUTE’s objective is to support the improvement of existing telemedicine projects and encourage the emergence of future interinstitutional work. The initiative provides the infrastructure for communication services, as well as part of the information and communication equipment for the research groups, promoting integration and connectivity and disseminating R&D activities of the participating institutions. The use of advanced network services should promote the emergence of new applications and tools that explore innovative mechanisms in health education, distance collaboration for pre-diagnosis and remote evaluation of health care data.
