HRCPP honors volunteers

To thank and eternalize the name of all those who fought for the Regional Cancer Hospital of Presidente Prudente (HRCPP) to become a reality, the “Galeria dos Idealizadores” was opened this afternoon (11) with photos by Antonio Sérgio Querubim (in memorian), Bernardete Querubim, Maria Auxiliadora Freitas Constantino, Antonio Plácido Pereira and Stanley Zaina. On the occasion, the photo of the former president of the HRCPP Executive Board, Antonio da Cunha Braga, was also fixed in the “Gallery of Presidents”.

Recipients

Former executive in the electricity sector, he is from Lins. She participated in the directors of the Association for Support to Cancer Patients (AAPC) and the Association for Support to Cleft Palate (Afipp). He is married to Marisa Gonçalves Braga, with whom he has three children. Antonio da Cunha Braga chaired the Executive Board of the Regional Cancer Hospital Foundation of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Presidente Prudente for two years (2017-2018).

 

 

 

 

 

At 17, he had his first manifestation of cancer. After two years of treatments, he started a normal life in his work and studies in accounting technician. He married Bernardete Bosso in 1984. In 1993, he had his first cancer recurrence. In 1996, when the general situation worsened and the difficulties of treatment with constant displacement appeared, Querubim was involved in the creation of a public hospital exclusively for cancer treatment in Presidente Prudente. Querubim died in May 1999, without seeing the completion of the renovation work on the cancer center, but with the certainty of having started and contributed to something bigger.

 

 

 

 

Born in Alfredo Marcondes, he moved to Presidente Prudente at the age of 17. He graduated in Physiotherapy in 1983. In 1984, he married Antônio Sérgio Querubim. At the end of 1996, she started volunteering with her husband to fight cancer. In 1997, she participated as a promoter in the first commission in favor of the construction of a cancer hospital in the city. In 1999, he assumed the chairmanship of the referred commission, which in 2002 was transformed into the Association for Support to Cancer Patients.

 

 

 

 

Mineira, was a primary teacher. He married Paulo Constantino – a businessman in the road transport sector – who moved to Presidente Prudente and here he became mayor. Maria Auxiliadora was the first lady of the municipality for 8 years, twice in a row. After leaving his second term, he founded A Vila da Fraternidade, a shelter for needy elderly people. She is also one of the creators of the Presidente Prudente Regional Cancer Hospital.

 

 

 

 

Paulistano, graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Paraná. He specialized in clinical pathology. He chose Presidente Prudente to establish himself and here he started a pioneering work: the prevention of gynecological cancer. He led the first campaigns across the region. Antonio Plácido Pereira was one of the promoters and creators of the Regional Cancer Hospital of Presidente Prudente.

 

 

 

 

 

Born in Presidente Prudente (SP), he graduated in Law in 1963, at USP. He is the father of three children and the grandfather of three grandchildren. Before taking over the Santa Casa office, Stanley chaired APAE, the 29th Subsection of the Bar Association of Brazil of Presidente Prudente and the Clínica Infantil Dr. José Foz. He became a provider in 1997, where he remained until 1999 and, later, he was reelected in the periods: 2001 to 2003 and 2003 to 2005, accumulating six years in the direction of the hospital unit. It was during his administration that the construction of the Presidente Prudente Regional Cancer Hospital was authorized.
