HRCPP signs partnership with Uepa and Cia do Picolé

Donations will benefit the institution’s patients

Last week, Presidente Prudente Regional Cancer Hospital (HRCPP) formalized a partnership with Uepa Ice Cream Company/Cia do Picolé to supply ice cream that will be offered to the hospital’s patients. Ice cream can be an important ally for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, because when consumed, it promotes salivation and can help relieve discomfort in the mouth caused by the treatment, such as sores, canker sores, mucositis, dry mouth, and a bad taste. Besides the nutritional value, ice cream is a great analgesic and helps to avoid nausea caused by the treatments due to its temperature.

On the occasion, Uepa’s representatives, Paulo Sérgio Betinardi and Paulo Sérgio Betinardi Júnior, received a Certificate of Recognition for the act of solidarity - delivered by Felicio Sylla (president of HRCPP), Mayara Moraes (HRCPP superintendent), and Lorraine Oliveira (HRCPP nutritionist).
