HRCPP relies on donations to fund patient care

The collaboration of the population is extremely important for the care of patients at the Regional Cancer Hospital of Presidente Prudente (HRCPP).

An example of how society’s help can save lives was cited this week by Francelino Magalhães, president of HRCPP, when reporting one of the several cases in which the institution bears - at its own cost - that of medicines with a cost above 10,000 for patients who cannot wait up to 60 days from the request made via the Unified Health System (SUS).

“This is neither the first nor the second case in which we pay for the purchase of these drugs because we recognize the urgency of the patient to start treatment,” says Francelino.

Payment for these drugs is made with funds from community donations, through the purchase of the SP Cap capitalization bond, donations via telemarketing and other independent contributions.

Donations in times of pandemic

Other donations of extreme importance to ensure the health of employees, patients and companions, is the donation of respiratory masks. Therefore, HRCPP is grateful for the donations it received from the group “Amigas Aposentadas do Banespa” together with the “Amigas do Peito” and also from Cátia Christófano and the group “Amigos de Alfredo Marcondes”.
