The inter-religious group “Mãos Unidas” attended the meeting of the Humanization Work Group (GTH) of the Regional Cancer Hospital of Presidente Prudente (HRCPP) last Friday (6) to present the group’s actions at the institution.
HRCPP implemented an interfaith group at the institution in July 2019, through the initiative of mastologist Maria Assunção de Azevedo Guedes. It is a group formed by representatives of the Catholic Church, Protestant, Spiritist, Seicho No Ie and Messianica, which promotes spiritual and interreligious assistance to patients, families, doctors, HRCPP employees and volunteers, respecting dignity, individuality, autonomy and patients’ rights, according to one of the doctrinal principles of the Unified Health System (SUS): integrality.
Humanization Working Group
In search of improving work processes, implementing humanization practices and the democratic participation of subjects involved in the hospital environment, HRCPP created the Humanization Working Group (GTH) in September 2019.
The Humanization Working Group (GTH) is a device created by the National Humanization Policy (PNH), and constitutes itself as an organized, participatory and democratic collective space, which is intended to boost and / or encourage the process of culture change health care, seeking a rescue of humanization in care, for the benefit of users and health professionals.
