State deputy Mauro Bragato offers support to HRCPP

State deputy Mauro Bragato visited the Regional Cancer Hospital of Presidente Prudente (HRCPP) yesterday afternoon (17) to update himself on the progress of the institution’s activities and to know what the next steps will be and how he can collaborate with the entity.
Francelino Magalhães, president of HRCPP, informed the deputy about the hospital’s services with the dimensioning of attendances and also about the estimated annual cost to put the hospital into operation: 36 million reais.
“We are in the process of obtaining accreditation with the Unified Health System. The Santa Casa de Misericórdia in Presidente Prudente has already given up its qualification in oncology so that the HRCPP can expand its services. However, the costs are high and we need help from the authorities to enable the hospital to function fully, ”explained Francelino.
The deputy stated that he defends the statehood of the HRCPP, since it is a third sector entity that depends on voluntary contribution. “Statehood would be a solution to guarantee the well-being of the population, since the hospital is still unable to meet the high demand for patients’ diagnoses and treatments,” said Bragato.
At the moment, the deputy proposed to seek support to increase the resources destined to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a sector that is expected to operate between the end of March and the beginning of April.
The HRCPP president thanked the deputy for his support, recalling the amount of R $ 1 million allocated to the hospital through an extra-budgetary resource from the state government. On the occasion, Bragato stated that he knew the need for money to finance it. “We always need to collaborate and help”, concluded the deputy.
